Edit Google Maps coordinates on Square Online Overview Page

Hi. Can someone help please? I'm looking to move to Square for my secure dog paddock booking. I've got quite far with the set up, but the address will only let me put in a postal address my field is close, but has no postal address. I do have the Google Map coordinates.

Is there a way to get the map point to my field? Either by using the map reference, or by moving the pin? Otherwise people will turn up at the wrong place.

Many thanks

Hi @Nige_S4, thanks for your patience.

After doing some more research on my end, I found out it's actually possible to update the map and move the location pin from your Online Overview page - I'm really sorry I provided the wrong info above!

To do so, log in to your Square Online:

  1. Go to Fulfillment > Pickup & Delivery
  2. Confirm the address is correct if you haven't already
  3. Enable one of the fulfillment options (you'll be able to disable it afterwards)
  4. Click on Edit
  5. Under Location Details, scroll to the map and manually readjust the pin
  6. Click Save

The edit will translate to your live website. If not, you might have to republish your website from the Editor first.

I hope this helps! Feel free to reach back out if you have any other questions 🙂.

Hi @Nige_S4, thanks for posting and welcome to the Seller Community 👋.

The location displayed on your website is linked to your address. Editing the map by moving the pin or replacing the address with coordinates would be a feature request at this stage. I suggest sharing your idea on our Ideate board, which is monitored by our Product team.

Do you already have a Google Business Profile ? If you do, and the location of the business is displayed correctly on Google Maps, you can synchronise your Google Profile to your Square account

I hope this helps. Feel free to reach back out if you have further questions.

Thank Lou8. I've followed this, but it appears to want to sync the other way. I've added my google account that has the business associated with it. It looks like if I sync, it will send my location FROM Square TO Google, and therefore overwrite the map I have on the Google map. I don't want to do than. I want to transfer the map FROM Google To Square if possible.

I'm going to do some research and tests on this @Nige_S4. I'll get back to you as soon as I have an update if that's ok!
