Downgrade plan, lose website?

I currently am on the Professional Plan. My renewal is up Oct 26 and I received an email saying I will be upgraded and pay $432 a year. Or I can opt out to a free plan but it sounds like I’ll lose my current website? Anyone understand what the deal is? I cant get through to anyone until Tuesday on the phone. I dont want to pay $432 but also cant lose my website!

Hi @Dotandflowco , thanks for posting on the Community.

Following the restructure of our paid plans, the Professional Plan will be deprecated and you'll be upgraded to the Plus Plan automatically. Rest assured that you will not lose the content of your website if you prefer downgrading to the Free Plan. However, you will lose access to some features, including the ability to use a custom domain. You can find the details of each plan here

 

Note that you will only see the option to downgrade to a Free Plan after your current plan has been upgraded.

Thanks Lou,

If I let the auto upgrade proceed I assume I will be charged the large increase and be refunded once I downgrade?

Hi @Dotandflowco ,

 

You won't be refunded automatically if you downgrade to the Free Plan after being upgraded. However you have a 30 days window to get a refund on yearly plan.

 

Once the upgrade has gone through, I suggest contacting our Support Team directly by email to request the refund (we need written consent from yourself), and downgrading your plan to the Free one. 

 

If you have any issues getting refunded let me know and I'll have a look for you 🙂.
