CAN SOMEONE PLEASE ADVISE ME? I HAD A CUSTOMER DISPUTE A CHARGE FOR TOWING THEIR CAR. I DONT HAVE A RECORD OTHER THAN THE SQURE TRANSACTION. HOW CAN THEY DEBIT MY ACCOUNT BASED ONLY ON WHAT THE CUSTOMER SAYS? CAN I GET MORE DETAILS ABOUT WHO IS DISPUTING THE ACCOUNT AND WHY?
Disputes are a rough part of taking credit cards as any customer can file a dispute with their bank with any company. Square has a team that processes disputes for you with whatever info you have regarding the charge, in your case a Tow ticket with info about where picked up and dropped off, date and name, etc. The good thing is you aren't automatically out the money as it is just in escrow till the dispute is settled.
you have a place in your square account for disputes here. https://squareup.com/dashboard/sales/disputes
here is more info on how disputes work. https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/3882-payment-disputes-walkthrough?utm_medium=web&utm_source=...
So, I won my disputes! Why is square still counting them against me as far as loan eligibility?
