I have a lot of customers that pay in person with cash at shows and such, and they have asked for a way to leave reviews. The only way I can see doing it now is that they place an order online, then receive an email asking for a review of the product. I have customers asking if they can leave a review without purchasing online or sharing their email. It would be nice to have a way for customers to just go online and leave a review or comment. I have been directing them to my google listing, but would like it if they could leave it on my actual website.
Interesting thought - Personally I have not come across any business websites that allow a customer or client to simply leave a review - no strings attached - sites that have reviews require a purchase. There are exceptions like Google, Yelp and Youtube - these are all great resources and get quite a bit of visibility - since you direct them to your Google listing, you could use some of their comments on your Square site - it's just going outside the box in a creative way. Square does have a vehicle for submitting suggestions and enhancements - you may want to submit your idea as a Feature Request for future consideration. If there's enough demand for the same feature, it could happen. Another outside the box suggestion is create a Form for the customer or client to fill out, you could then take that info and create a page on your site with their comments. Check out Jotform, there's tons of templates which can be altered for your needs or you can start from scratch. You can embed the form in a web page or provide a link. The customer or client completes the form and you get it via your Jotform account - no need for a purchase or for them to provide you with their email address. Perhaps some of the other volunteer community members have some thoughts.
