Customer Accounts Just Launched - It's broken?

When I logged in this morning I got a notification that Customer Accounts are now available for the UK. 

Got mine turned on, but trying to test and sign up with my own mobile number I'm not getting any SMS to be able to continue. 

I've turned it off again as it looks bad for it not working. Is it just me or is this the same for anyone else?

Hmm, thanks for flagging. 

 

I just tested, and I did get the verification code, and I was able to log in, however, I'm testing with an Irish phone number but it is a UK Square account.

Can you try again in a few minutes? I'll keep looking in the meantime and try to find a UK number to test with.

Hmmmm @Breffni 

Just tried again and nothing with my personal number on Vodafone - it just doesn't come through. Tried with my business number on EE and that worked fine! 

Business number is already signed up to square pay, where as I don't think my personal one is - no idea if that's going to make a difference?

@Breffni - I've narrowed it down! 

Personal number - the one that wasn't working. 

I tried dropping the first '0' and it worked. (had entered the full number with the business number and that worked). 

So tested again - it's when it auto fills the number for me! 

Workflow that works:
manually enter number. 
Hit next. 

Workflow that doesn't work:
enter first number and select the auto contact fill (Mac OS and iOS tested)

don't have to hit next it automatically moves to the next page. No pause.

Thank you for testing! Mine worked with the prefix and the 0, but that might be due to different locales. 

 

I share this with the team that launched this feature but also keep an eye out for any other sellers that run into the same thing, thank you!

@Breffni - mine also worked with/out the initial 0. 

It’s when apple device auto fills the contact number and it advances that it seems to be an issue.
