Creating an item for online sells for a catering company

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to create an item for my online ordering system but I couldn't find how.
I want to create an item called Sandwich Tray:
The customer should select a total of 10 sandwiches:
Sandwiches are:
1. Turkey Classic
2. Garen Patch
3. BLTA
4. Roast Beef
5. Cafe Club
6. Egg Salad Sandwich
7. Vegan Garden Patch
8. Grilled Chicken
9. Tuna Melt
10. Reuben

So, customers can either select one from each or select more than one from each sandwich but the total cannot exceed 10. For Example 3 Turkey, 3 Garden Patch and 4 Roast Beef.
So it should be like this:
When the Item "Sandwich Tray" is selected customer should see the options (10 sandwiches mentioned above) when an option is selected and the other option "number of products" should pop up and the customer can enter a value here from 1-10. When a total of 10 items are selected system should not allow to make any more selections.
Can you help me to set up this item?

Thanks,

Hi @ieyrice1.  Welcome to the Community.  Before I answer your question, let me advise you that you only need to post a question once in the Community.  Posting a question multiple times only serves to clutter things up since the “Help the Community” section of the board where we all go to answer questions shows all questions on all boards.  So one post is sufficient, and also is compliant with the Community Etiquette Guidelines.

Currently, there is no mechanism to do what you are wanting to do.  This is because there is no way to indicate quantities at the modifier level.  This feature has been requested in the Community and on the feature request boards.  Here is a link to the formal request.  I would recommend that you go to that link and like/upvote that request.  You can also copy/paste your real-world example above to the request so that the engineers can see how you would use it.

You could create a Text modifier where they can say how many of each they want. It is a little training for customers but you could tell them to enter details like this on the Modifier box: 3X #1 / 3X #2 / 4x #4
