Creating a second website that's secret from my original.

I currently have a craft business with one square account. I would like to add a sort of 'spin-off' of that business for a very specific clientele, but I do not want the two websites to meet publicly. I'm okay if they share backdoor information but I don't want them to be linked to eachother in anyway.  Basically, the new website shouldn't be linked or connected to my original one in anyway, and they shouldn't be able to find the original one. Is that possible?

Edit to add: I think I can do this with a second location and a new domain name? But I want to confirm they will not be able to find my original website.

You're correct in setting up a second location and website. You can password protect the new site and only give the password out to those who you want to have access. Unless you specifically code links to your original site, the two sites will not mention each other at all.

The bigger challenge is keeping your second site customers away from your first site. If your first site is public, a quick Google search will bring it up to whoever decides to look. You can block search access, but I'm not entirely sure you want to: you'll lose some of your first site's clientele that happened upon your first site in their Internet travels.

Thank you for your response! Can you explain how my second site customers might find my first site?

My main site would be for crafts and the other would be one specific item that I don't sell on the main website. The names of each site will be very different and I would only give the second link to a handful of people interested in those specific items.

@Zim If they know the name of your business then it’s going to be a simple search to find your site. Those who are more adept with the internet could probably be able to figure out the site just off of your name or business address. Regardless, the one thing I’ve learned about the ‘Net: give people enough time and they’ll find everything.

Will my invoices have the name of my main business on them? The second business is entirely different with a new name, not related to the main one at all.

I'll give you an example.  My main website is The Crafty Ridge, I sell homemade crafts that customers can customize.  It's a small business, more of a side hobby, that's spread by word of mouth.

My second site will be called Cupcake Bar and I'll sell my recipes for icing and cupcakes.  It won't have anything to do with the main and I'll only be giving the domain to a handful of people.

@Zim You’ll be able to invoice from the second location so you will only have the second location's information on any paperwork.

As an example, I have a coffee shop called R&R Coffee and a coffee roasterie called Golden Pine. They are both under the same Square account, but they have separate locations on Square. Any time I invoice from the roasterie, only the GPR branding shows on the invoice. The same goes for my website.

Thank you so so much for the time taking to answer my questions.  It sounds like for my purposes, I can go ahead and create a separate location on the same account, rather than start a whole new account. I appreciate you very much.
