Complete mark on KDS does not reflect users' mobile order status, it stays as preparing

Complete mark on KDS does not reflect users' mobile order status, it stays as preparing. However when I tried to change the status as competed on POS, customers' order page was changed as ready for pickup. What is going on?

Hi @VCRJ. Square KDS does not perform any customer-facing functionality, like messaging when the kitchen has cleared the order.  That functionality is reserved for our POS where we can mark orders as ready, completed, etc.  KDS was designed to be an internal communication feature, allowing staff to see where the order prep is in the process, ending with the Expo finishing packaging, etc and marking the order as ready on POS.
