Checkout keeps stating that card information is invalid

So my website has been open for about 2 months now and I haven't gotten sales, so a family member tried to purchase an item and proceeded to checkout but one all information was entered and finalized they weren't able to purchase and it stated that card number and information was invalid even tho the information was correct, please help, im not sure why that's happening and possibly the reason I haven't been getting any sales
