Changing the order of howitems are displayed on website

Hi - does anyone know how to change the order in which your items are displayed within a category on my square website? At the moment, they are automatically listed based on most recently added but I want to reorder them and show them in a more meaningful sequence  within the category. Thanks for any help/insight you can give as Im stumped. Ceri

Hi @PurpleHound, thanks for posting and welcome to the Community ๐Ÿ™‚.

You are able to rearrange your items either from your website editor, or the Category tab.

Note that what you see on your end might be different from the screenshots I provide below. For example, I helped another seller a few months ago on this thread, who could only rearrange the items from their Category settings. So make sure to look into both options !

From you website Editor:

  1. Log in to your Online Overview page, and click on Website > Edit Website
  2. Click on Home to view the dropdown then Online Order or Shop All page
  3. Got to Items List and select Arrange & Add Items
  4. You should be able to drag the 6 grey dots Screenshot 2024-09-25 at 11.38.18.png located on the left of each item and categories to re-arrange them

From your Category tab:

  1. Log in to your Dashboard and go to Items
  2. In Category, click on the category you want to edit
  3. Under Items, click on Arrange
  4. Save (You might have to republish your website to sync the edits)
