Shopify have been advising the following (I use square and shopify for different businesses)
As of February 1, 2024, Gmail and Yahoo will require you to authenticate your domain and have a DMARC record in order to send emails to customers from a branded email address. If you take no action, then your sender email will be rewritten to [email protected] to meet the minimum requirements so that you can continue sending emails to your customers without interruption.
Is this issue going to affect square users? I cannot see the same form of user control for server and email management
Hi @mhweft,
Thanks for bringing this question to the Community!
If you are currently using a Custom Sender Profile with Square Email Marketing, then you will be required to update your domain to continue using this feature. Impacted sellers have been sent an email from Square with the instructions on how to do this.
