Cas Drawer Reports opening on their own

Hi,

 

We have being using Square for a while and love it. I usually close out the Cash Drawer report each month and start a new one. But in the last 10 days 4 new cash drawers have opened on their own I only discovered this today and we now have 4 open cash drawer reports. This is very confusing and disruptive and is clearly a glitch in the system. Has anyone had similar issue or can anyone help with advice?

Hi @Katieardmore, thanks for your post and welcome to the Seller Community. 

 

That sounds off, are you using the Point of Sale app or the Square Terminal? 

Do you have any employees who may have unknowingly opened a new drawer by mistake?

Apologies for the delay @Katieardmore - that does sound very strange. 

 

We did have a disruption a couple of months ago where users would lose their current drawers overnight or on an app reboot. Cash reporting would be off for the day when the cash drawer disappears.

 

Let me know if that sounds like what you experienced - that issue should be resolved now as long as you are running the latest version of the app which is available in the app store.
