Hello Square Community,
I have a food and retail store (cookies) and when our customers buy a box (ON WEEBLY/ECOM) ex. 6 or 12, they can't choose the quantity of each flavors ex. 2 Vanilla, 4 Chocolate etc...
Is there a way to add a quantity box next to each of the modifiers like a + and - option for them to keep track of what they have in their box? Ex box of 6 = 2 Vanilla, 1 Red Velvet, 3 Chocolate.
Sorry for the confusion but every customer keeps calling me because they cant select a flavor more than once.
Thank you for the answer, I hope this setting exist!
@lemacarontampa What you are running into is a limitation on the way modifiers work in the online store. How many flavors of cookies do you have?
There are a couple of ways to handle this. I do breakfast plates like pick 2 pick 3 pick 4 etc..
I would set up your item as the box quantity and then you can set up a modifier for some sort of fractional set up. If you are going to let them pick individual then you would have to have 6 sets for a half dozen. I would call them choice 1, choice 2, choice 3. I personally would limit it to minimum of 2 cookies per choice. You would then have each of your cookie flavors in choice 1, choice 2, choice 3. Each of those modifiers you would limit to 1 choice and max 1 choice.
I would then also set up items that are all the same kind like dozen choco, dozen red velvet, etc. You could even do a half and half dozen and list the flavors and then require 2 choices. You can use the item variety to make the modifiers not too complicated.
I would also maybe call it like a build your own custom dozen cookies etc.
The other option is just to list all your cookie flavors as items and let people add however many to a box. You could then set up a coupon for discount if you like. Or just multiply a dozen times the single price and list that as the cost for a dozen.
I know these may not be ideal, but wanted to give you some ideas.
