Can I create events for multiple recurring dates for my Square Online site?

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Events- Multiple Dates - Multiple issues / requests.

Hi,
Is there a way to quickly set up events for multiple dates?
E.g. I run a craft day once a month.

I'm currently duplicating it and it takes a lot of time. Plus when I duplicate an event, it automatically converts back to a physical product.

Also, I have an Event category page on my site, but I have to manually order the events so they are in date order - can this be automated?
It would also be good if they automatically became unavailable after the date of the event.

What you’re describing is expected behaviour for Event Items at this time, though I can definitely appreciate how useful this added functionality would be!

In this case, I recommend visiting our Ideate board to check for any existing feature requests related to these types of functionality. If you don’t feel your business needs are represented in any existing threads, please feel free to create your own for each.

In the meantime, you could consider creating an Event Item that doesn’t have a set date (or another type of non-physical item), and create an option set with multiple variations to choose from for each event date. This would allow for multiple dates, and you could use the stock tracking feature to manage event capacity.

Also, it would be good if we can type the date in rather than having to scroll through.  I set up 12 months worth, so having to click through all the months is very time consuming.

hey @Girlvic i assume you have successfully converted your event into a service?

 

may i ask how you do it? coz i've got a group training event under my item library, but when i go to service library and convert it to a service, it doesn't show up under the items i can convert?

I just have them set up as events. I don't know anything about services.

Do you have postage set up on your site? I do because I also sell physical items and my events get charged postage. I am refunding almost every single ticket for a postage fee.

I have postage set up as I also sell physical products but I've never had postage charged on events. It must be something in your settings somewhere I guess? 🤔
