Bulk Update Product Type and Item Sync

When you add new items, the products are all set to "physical" by default but when you create an online store, you have the option of changing the product types. For example, a restaurant would want their product types to be set as "Prepared Food and Beverage" but you have to update the products one at a time. Currently, there is no way of changing this default setting or updating the entire catalog at once.

 

Additionally, there is no way to create modifiers or option sets in the "Online" items panel. This means clients have to provide you with a team permission set, but they are required to pay for that.

 

Has anyone figured out a workaround or a way to bulk update or upload "product type?"

We hear you and understand how being able to manually edit bulk items would be a game-changer. On our end, Square is always looking to improve its products and services. 

 

Hopefully, this feature request is in the works.
