Apple Pay on checkout

We moved to Square last week, and brought our database and loyalty across.  We have email address and loyalty points stored.

 

Customers with stored information are having issues using Apple Pay and Google Pay - when the click Apple Pay or Google Pay, it clears all the fields in the checkout and won't allow you to go any further.  If you then try and log in with Square Pay using mobile phone number and authentication it doesn't bring any information across and asks for users to input new credit card information.

 

I can check a customer account and see a linked card, however trying to use Apple Pay or Google Pay seems to break everything including Square Pay.

 

I have a feeling that if the email we have on file is different to that linked to Google Pay or Apple Pay it causes some issues.  I have however checked a number of customers and their Apple Pay details and stored details in Square are the same.

 

Any help please.
