Just following up regarding the Public Holiday surcharge for Square Online.
It’s been a while since we first raised this, and unfortunately, we’re still unable to apply the surcharge through the online system — which is resulting in a financial loss for us on public holidays.
Do you have any updates on where things stand? Has the development team shared any information or timeline for a solution?
We’d really appreciate some clarity, as this is becoming a critical issue for our business.

Right now, you can set up weekend and Public Holiday service charges on Square Point of Sale, Square Retail POS, Square Appointments, Square Restaurant POS and Square Virtual Terminal.
I can certainly pass your account details along to our Product Team to ensure you're included in any betas for Square Online weekend and Public Holiday surcharges as they become available.
I know the team is actively working on setting up a beta for this feature and has started collecting details from interested Sellers for the testing phase. While I don’t have a confirmed timeline to share just yet, this is definitely on the radar to begin testing in the near future—so please keep an eye out for an email from our team. 🙂
