I am trying to add more than 1 item to a tile. Have a couple of vendors on consignment with multiple different priced items. I cannot have very item have a separate tile.
@Vsifish2019 I would use categories to divide these up. It may require a little front end work, but I would put each vendor as a category and then assign their items to that category. Or do something like - Blankets - DM where blankets is the broad category and the "-DM" is the vendors initials. So if you have say 10 vendors you may have 10 categories for the 10 vendors and if you need more organization than that you would have multiple somewhat identical categories for the multiple vendors.
You can then put the category on the item grid and it will bring up all of the items in that category to quickly jump through. There is not a way to assign multiple items to the quick key/tile in the way you are asking in the POS, otherwise using the search feature would be your best bet.
If you only have a couple of vendors, then just giving them their own category may be the easiest way to tackle this for speed of checkout and organization.
Just adding onto this reply, Square Online supports sub categories too! We have over 80 different consignment vendors (we work with independent artists) so our POS has their items in categories by vendor while our online store has both ways to shop: Shop by Artist and Shop by Item. Our customers really appreciate being able to look at everything from one artist OR look for things like stationary.
You can nest categories under other categories when setting up your site and then the automated Shop page will do all the hard work for you, or you can add all the items from a category to a page section. It's under Square Online > Items > Site Categories.
To see it in action on our site: https://www.keicollective.com/s/shop
Everything under 'Browse by category' is a different Site Category and when you click on 'Shop by Item' you get another list of sub categories to help customers navigate.
You could also do categories by item with sub categories by vendor, or the other way around. Lots of flexibility!
