Who's got a good workaround for store credit?
I run a used bookstore and offer store credit to customers for their books. I've been manually tracking this, but I'd love to have a function in the Rewards section that allows me to add store credit as a reward that can automatically be used against a sale, either in-store or online.
My understanding is that, not only is there no option to add store credit, but there's also no good way to use customer rewards as store credit, either. Is there any workaround that offers a more automated solution?
Hey there, @spisherbocker
Thank you for bringing this to the Community! I could recommend having these sellers sign up for Loyalty program, where you could set up perks for them.
But I am going to tag one of our SQ Champions, @JTPets, could have another option when it comes to store credit.
In the meantime, I would recommend dropping this on our Ideate Board too!
I wonder if you could use loyalty and create an item that had bonus points assigned to a promotion and ring it out as 0.01c and then auto discount it 100% with a discount code auto applied?
Thanks, I've added my comments to a current open request for store credit in the Ideate Board.
Hello @spisherbocker, this is Ashwin from Pintuna, we are a Square trusted partner. We offer a Store Credit app that should work perfectly in your case. The app is tightly integrated with the Square POS system. We have Square sellers that run gently loved clothing stores and they offer store credits to customers for their clothes that can then be used for purchases of other clothes in-store or online.
We issue digital store credits that customers can add to their apple/goole wallets. You can scan these at checkout for redemption. You can also add funds to it. Balances are updated in real time in the wallet. You can manage all store credits through our portal. Happy to demo the app.
If interested you can reach out to us at [email protected]
Thanks Ashwin, I'll check it out!
