Ability to generate an PDF receipt

so taking payments instore via the POS app does not give me the ability to issue a pdf invoice. PLease update this feature! I have a number of B2B customers who call me needed an actual PDF invoice. Since i have taken payment in store, all they get is the "receipt". I understand I have the option to send them an invoice to their email, they can pay it and then they can download a pdf. why can't I do this with a receipt or transaction that occurred within the app.

Thanks for the feedback @pastimeparadise,

While the ability to generate a PDF receipt is not currently available I can see how this would be handy, and have heard this request a few times before.

I moved your message to our Feature Requests board so we can start tracking requests for this feature in the one place moving forward. If i hear of any updates I'll revisit this thread and give you a notification!

yeah it is not the best flow. A new customer comes in and needs 100 of something, They pay with the corporate card, since they are there. I think nothing of it and send them a receipt.

Their accounting department calls me 2 weeks later to say they can't process this receipt since it does not have an invoice number. They are a huge company and have processes and it just looks bad when I cannot provide something.

I could make a new invoice which would put my square out of sync. Or I make one up in Microsoft word.

I think a quick fix could be to include some sort of reference number on the receipt, they can then use that to input it as an "invoice". Also a way to export a pdf would be fantastic. thank you.

I ended up making my own. I made my own POS software and just email them a proper invoice. With in store customers if they are buying a company I just always click print on the eftpos machine and staple it to my own receipt.

Hi @GTS308 👋,

Following @pastimeparadise's advice, the current workaround is to create the sale as an invoice first, which can then be shared with your customer via SMS or email.

We’ll keep sharing your feedback with our Product Team. While this isn’t on our immediate development plans, if anything changes, we’ll make sure to announce it on the Seller Community.
