I changed my DNS settings to my Square website 48 hours ago. That went through straight away as it often does.
However, I am still waiting for the SSL to kick in. I have spoken to 3 different people on the live chat. The first one was very helpful and they even sent me an email this morning to ask if it's working. I replied but haven't heard anything back.
The second person was also helpful.
However, the last person I spoke to couldn't seem to understand my problem and just kept repeating to me that I need to wait 24-48 hours for the site to go live. I already know this. The site went live almost the moment I changed the DNS settings. It's the SSL I am waiting for.
I realise the SSL can sometimes take a bit of time but in my experience, it usually happens just hours after the DNS change.
I have been unpublishing and republishing my website almost every hour today.
I'm new to Square and currently on the free trial for the lowest paid subscription. So far, I think it's great but I can't operate my business without a secure website. Have I made the wrong decision after spending hours populating my website?

Hi @cymru78 - thanks for flagging this.
I understand how important it is to have your website up and running and I apologise for the experience you've had so far.
I had a look at your DNS records here https://who.is/dns/flauntitvintage.co.uk and while your A records are both correctly pointing to Square it looks like you have an AAAA record also.
If your third-party domain’s DNS records include a AAAA record, our service will not recognise it and the domain will not populate your website when it’s searched in a browser. To fix this, remove the AAAA record from your domain’s DNS and allow the changes to propagate (usually within 24–48 hours).

Thank you for your reply.
I have now deleted the AAAA records that were there.
It's a shame that not one of 3 people on the chat realised that this could be causing the issue. Fingers crossed that this is the fix. I'll report back - hopefully within a few hours rather than the maximum!
There we go....just about 10 minutes after the change, my SSL is now working.
Thank you so much. I was losing my mind.
I can't believe that this wasn't noticed sooner.
Amazing - yes it looks good to me now too.
I'll definitely pass this feedback on @cymru78 - thanks for bearing with us.
