Want to be able to swipe card or charge over phone - does free device offer this?
I am new to Square. I just want to be able to swipe a credit card or take payment over the phone. Does the free reader allow this or do I have to purchase one?
Our free magstripe reader allows for you to swipe credit cards, and you have the ability to take payments over the phone using our Virtual Terminal payment option.
If you need to accept Debit tap, chip or contactless style payments, you'll want to purchase our Contactless + Chip card reader.
