Square Credit Card in Canada

How and what is the mastercard used for? Never had one before but have a new business and thought it would be useful but can't find info on it.

Hi @untamedspirit, welcome to the Square Community! Thank you for your post!

Unfortunately, the Square Credit Card is not offered in our Canadian markets quite yet.  As well as, Square Credit Cards are an American Express card and not a Mastercard. They can be used anywhere where American Express is accepted, and used as the cardholder would like. We are working quickly to bring all of our products to other markets, so please stay tuned.

Then how did I receive one here in Canada after signing up?

Do you know if your card could possibly be a Square Card? The Square Card is a prepaid/debit card that is a Mastercard and is available in Canada.

If not, is this card you signed up from Square? The reason I ask, is I reached out to our Square Credit Card team and they confirmed that we are not offering Square Credit Cards in Canada at this time.
