I want to set up a blog for my website. How do I go about doing that? Never blogged before.

You can engage with new and existing customers by creating Stories in Square Online. Stories work just like blogs, where you can highlight a new item, suggest a recipe, or provide personal updates to your site visitors. Each Story is an individual post that is automatically displayed on your website’s Stories Overview page. Your visitors can then share those Stories to their social media accounts using the built-in share buttons.

To add Stories to Square Online:

1. In your Square Online site editor, select +Add > Page.
2. Choose Stories Overview and select Add to create the new page.
3. Select Create a new story to start a post.
4. Select the page to begin editing the text and use the options in the editing panel to customize the appearance of your post.
5. Select Publish to make your Story go live.

Thank you for getting back and for the answer.  Can people engage with the story page or does that happen when you share it to social media?  How does that work?

Hey @DaveMcLeanPhoto, thanks for the reply! It's not currently possible to have people engage by leaving comments and/or likes on your story page. This would be considered a feature request. I think it's a great idea to have more interactivity with your customers though! I'll make sure to pass it over to our team to take into consideration. 

A possible workaround to be able to engage with your customers directly from your website would be adding Facebook Messenger to your page. To set up Facebook Messenger on your site:

1. In your Square Online Overview page, go to Communications > Messenger.
2. Select Set up now to connect your Facebook page and grant permissions. Select Done when finished with permissions.
3. Choose a Messenger icon style for your site.
4. Select Publish to make the changes go live. Publishing here will also publish your website.
