square reader broken

Hello all.  I have been using the magstripe reader for years, and purchased the contact less ($59) reader a couple of years ago and used it maybe twice at the most.  I just liked the mag reader!  Anyhow, I have a new phone (Samsung) and realized I can't use the mag reader as there's no jack in the phone.  I tried to set up my contact less reader but I get a message when I'm setting up saying it's broken (or words to that effect).  I'm kind of annoyed that I have now got to buy a new one.  Any ideas?

Sorry to hear you've been having issues with your hardware and linking it to your device. 

To use your magstripe reader, you could look into using an headphone jack adapter. I don't have a specific one, but other sellers have used that as a workaround before. 

For your Contactless + Chip Reader, you can check out this Support Article with some troubleshooting steps to get it working. 

Please let me know if you have any other questions or these options don't do the trick,
