Does anyone else have this issue? I use a Dymo barcode printer and have the free version of square for retail. We are a stained glass shop and when I print a barcode, I typically include the size of the piece of glass in the barcode using "Code 3 of 9 Lib L." For example, the barcode might read like this: WI-18H--12X168
I then enter the item in square and type the barcode exactly as shown, but when I go to save the item, square changes the Capital X to a lowercase x. When it does this, it now makes the item unrecognizable when I scan the barcode because in square the SKU has a lowercase x instead of a capital X. I've been entering the barcodes this way for years and have only had this issue for the past few months. What is going on? Any suggestions in how to fix it?
