constant bluetooth disconnection between phone app & chip device

if i do not take a credit card payment within 30 or so minutes, the reader is disconnected from the phone app.  the only way i can get a connection between the two is to close out the app and re-log in....

i appreciate any thoughts....it is quite annoying, to say the least.

From my research and seeing this issue in the forum, below are my conclusions on why this is happening.

1.  Your phone stops the Bluetooth connection to help your phone have Battery power longer
2. The Bluetooth Reader disconnects to save Power
3. Check your phones Power Savings to see if it can ignore saving power for Bluetooth devices

The other thing I have found out is my Bluetooth reader does not disconnect because I leave it plugged in so it never tries to save power along with my Ipad is also left plugged in.  Since this is not always a viable method because being where there is no power source the best options are to have more sales than 1 every 15 or 30 minutes which is out of your control, or to get a battery pack to charge the phone and the bluetooth reader.  By having a battery pack charging your readers it may not time out and stay fully charged for when you need it.  They have these rechargable battery packs from $5 to over $100 depending on how big the Battery storage is.
