Virtual Terminal Payment - edit once completed?

I recorded a payment in my Virtual Terminal as "cash" instead of "custom." I use "custom" to track payment via check & reconcile with my deposits to the bank. I can't seem to go back in and edit the payment. Is there a way to do this?

@dbickel For a number of reasons, completed transactions can not be edited.  But you can do the following steps to fix your problem:

 

  1. From your online dashboard, go to Transactions
  2. Find the transaction in your list and select it
  3. Click on the “…” in the upper right hand corner, and select Issue Refund from the drop down and go through that process.
  4. Go back into Virtual Terminal and complete the transaction again as a Cash Payment.

That will do the trick.  Let me know if you have any further questions.
