I was reading another post (https://community.squareup.com/t5/Payments-Troubleshooting/Cash-payments-not-working-on-register/m-p...by @TheCookieStore) where several users indicated that Support will no longer assist customers who have version 1 Registers.
In the case of the above post, it appeared to be a software issue, as opposed to hardware, so even if the hardware is no longer supported, I’m surprised that the software is also no longer supported on V1 devices.
Is this true? Can anyone definitively confirm this?
If I remember the email that was sent out some time ago, I think only security updates will be pushed to older versions and nothing else.
