The past two updates on Square Register have been horrible.
Is anyone else having issues with searching for something - typing part of it in, and either messing up or needing to find something similar to the last search and when you hit backspace, it deletes something from the beginning, too?
In this case, I'm searching for our 6" Round Rims, 6rrc (cherry) and then trying to input any other material choice which starts with the same 6rr.
This is super frustrating.

Thanks for sharing your experience with the recent updates. I understand your frustration with the current functionality.
I don't have a register to test this on but I will tag some sellers who can provide their inisght @BofBArtStudio @cupzcoffeeaz @Doran.
In the meantime, I would also like to get some more information to investigate. What app version is register on? Does factory resetting the device help the issue?
I have a square register that I can try this on and see what happens.
@DELSNantuckets if you do a factory reset make sure that you close out any open drawers first. Or you could lose the drawer history.

I tried reproducing what you were stating in your words and the video that you shared. I am not getting the same issue. I did try several different things to try to get it to create that issue.
One thing I can say is that I haven't used this register in several months And I did have to factory reset it.
If you decide to try a factory reset, be sure to close out any existing open drawers. That is very important.
Other than that, there isn't any issues with performing a factory reset. If you're continuing to see this unexpected behavior when searching for items, I would definitely try a factory reset.
