The recent App update has changed the way our Checkout looks. We use an 8" Samsung tablet and everything was fine until the recent update. Now the images for the items on the landscape Checkout are half hidden by the text description. When we turn it around the Portrait, it's all working fine except the totals on the right hand side are gone. Don't like that. I need to know how to change the settings back to the previous software, or how to change the appearance of the landscape Checkout. And for some strange reason, when we try to add a Customer to a sale, it wants a passcode. Gotta get rid of that too. Hope that makes sense.

You can revert the app experience to the previous design by tapping More > Settings > Checkout > Revert to previous experience in your Point of Sale app.
In regards to adding a customer to a sale - you might have turned on requiring a passcode by accident. To turn the requirement of a passcode off in the app via More > Security > Passcodes > turn the passcode requirement off. If you don't know your owner passcode, you can find it in your Dashboard here. If you've set up Team Permissions, take a look at your settings under Team > Team Permissions.

As we're phasing out the previous app experience, the option to revert to the previous experience is being removed, too - checking in my now updates iOS app, this is no longer available. My sincere apologies for the miscommunication!
However, the new app interface shouldn't cut off the checkout experience. Please take some screenshots of how this looks on your end, take note of your tablet model, and which version of Android OS you're running, and send them through to our team who will be able to file a ticket with our engineers. It's also worth checking that you are on the most recent Android OS, as this affects app performance too.

Thank you for that but I've been trying to sort this out since November.
Our preference is for the Checkout pages to be viewed in Landscape but your update has screwed that up. See pics attached.
We want the pictures as per the Portrait view but in the Landscape view.
I understand updates and upgrades but surely this can be achieved.
Our Tablet is a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8".
The software is up to date being version T290XXU3CVG3 / T290OLM3CVE1

It actually appears that your app is displaying the checkout as intended. Item and category names will be cut off if they're a bit longer, and this isn't something that our engineering team would be able to change. I earlier assumed that the images were not displaying or were completely cut off. What you're seeing in the checkout is also my experience on an iPhone and iPad for my items with longer names. I'd be happy to pass this feedback onto the team for consideration!
