Has anybody been able to update the reader since the release of iOS 18? I haven’t been able to use it since. Fortunately I can use the app on my phone but it limits me to tap only.

I'm sorry to hear about the issue with updating your reader...I'm going to list some things to try to get it to connect.
Force quit the Square App and re-pair the reader:
From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen.
Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close.
Swipe up on the Square POS app's preview to force close the app.
Forget and re-pair the reader:
On your device, go to Settings > Bluetooth
Tap the Square Reader.
Tap Forget This Device.
Attempt the Pair R12d to Your Device via Bluetooth procedure below.
To re-pair the reader:
Tap Connect a Reader.
Put your reader into pairing mode:
Try these and let me know if they work. I'll be on the lookout for your response. I hope this helps!
Thanks for your help, but this did not solve the issue. It still tells me I need to update my reader.
