I'm attempting to use square terminal as a customer-facing display with square stand POS. The items connect with a device code, however, after that the terminal screen just stays black and says "powered by square." If I ring up a sale nothing changes. I've factory reset the terminal several times. It is connected to the internet. I have a feeling maybe I need to toggle and additional button somewhere? Any help is greatly appreciated

Quick question: when you go to the tender screen, are you seeing the line that says Square Terminal with a blue Continue button? I'm assuming yes, but this is a good spot to start troubleshooting.
If so, according to the help file, it says to just tap on the Powered By Square screen once you send a transaction if it doesn't automatically show up. Have you tried that?
Do make sure you're running the latest version of the Square app on your stand, too. There may be a communication issue happening here too.
I've been actively using the connected terminal in my store for a few months now, and short of a couple of times where the terminal went brain dead it has always worked for me. So I really think it's just the matter of continuing to troubleshoot. Let us know if any of the ideas help you out!
