I have 2 square terminals and a Hub for Square Terminal.
One terminal is connected directly to the Hub and the other terminal is connected via USB-C to USB-A cable into one of the 3 USB-A ports on the Hub.
The terminal connected via USB-C to USB-A cable causes the terminal to make a ding ding sound on repeat.
Does anyone know the reason for this? I have already tried the other ports but I'm wondering if its because 2 terminals should not be connected to one hub?
Not sure exactly, but I would not hook a terminal to another terminal. It could be the 2 together are overdrawing the power supply.
Mine is doing the same thing. I’ve had it for 4 years and no problems until recently. Also my scanner doesn’t make the same sound it used to once plugged in. It’s scratchy.
Hello, @kecree01
Can you share here what exactly is your situation? I would like to take a closer look at this for you.
When the terminal is plugged in for charging, it makes a continuous beeping noise as though there is a short somewhere. It also is intermittently charging at best. I’m thinking it’s not connecting properly even though the USB-C seems to fit as it should. Also when attaching the hub so that I can use the scanner, the scanner doesn’t always work and makes a kind of scratchy noise instead of it’s usual clear ping that indicates it’s all working. My initial thought was that the hub was no longer working, so I ordered a replacement. The replacement doesn’t seem to fit the jack, so I can’t test that. I now think it could be the power source that no longer works.
Thank you for clarifying that @kecree01
