Hi all,
Has anybody had problems with their Square terminals. We have 2 Terminals and both of them broke down, in under a week apart, with different problems. One has a charging issue, although the charger cables worked fine on my other Terminal, and then right in the middle of an event yesterday my other one crashed with the error Reader Damaged.
Is it possible that any system updates could have caused these problems.
I’m not prepared to pay $600 to replace my terminals, maybe its time to change POS systems, for lower rates and free terminals.

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with both your Square Terminals.
If one of your Terminal is indicating that it is damaged, it means that the physical security measures built into the hardware have been triggered, which deactivates your Terminal for security reasons. This can sometimes happen by accident, like rough handling during shipping or dropping the device. The only way to get it back up and running is to have the device replaced under warranty. To do so, you'll have to contact our Support Team directly by phone or email.
Is the other Terminal not holding the charge anymore ? Are you able to turn it on at all using a different cable and/or a different plug ? If you've exhausted all troubleshooting steps, our Support Team will also be able to help.
