How do I remove the “self-serve” line on the kitchen ticket? We are using a combination of Square register and iPad on standard mode. The iPad ticket on the right doesn’t have it, but the left one from the register does. They are both on the same mode and setting. I’ve turned off all these settings
that I can find on the register.
This suddenly started happening to us as well, but it created another problem. ALL of our in-person orders are showing as "Self-Serve" and we've lost the ability to designate them as Dine-In or To-Go. This is on Square Register right now, but we are setting up an iPad to see if the issue exists there as well. Obviously, no one decided to go into settings and change the default fulfillment method for every single available item as "Self-Serve", so we don't know how this happened.
It seems that an update was made somewhere as a whole bunch of settings have moved around in the Dashboard.
Go to your Register's settings (on register or website), and look for Fulfillment Methods. Under there, toggle the "Customize how fulfillment methods appear at checkout" and then make sure "Dine-In" or whatever your Default method is at the top of your list.
We don't have any fulfillment set up as we don't need to distinguish them. In the setting you mentioned, there isn't a setting for fulfillment on the register. As you can see from my post, that "self-serve" line only shows up on the ticket from register, not the one from the ipad. And i don't recall seeing it before, so it must have been a recent change. And we didn't make any changes to this part recently. I believe this is another bug from the register. It's not a big deal, but it would be nice to know exactly what triggers this so i can turn it off and not waste space on the ticket.
