Scheduling Pick Up Orders on Square POS

We've noticed a bug, we think?

 

When we go to schedule orders made in store and a customer pays cash, there is no record of it at all. Not in the orders and not in the transactions.

 

However, when you navigate to reports, you can see that there has been a cash sale.

 

When we go through the process of scheduling the exact same order but pay by card, the typical expected processes of completing the payment, and a notification of a new order as well as the printing of that order happens.

 

Why isn't a cash sale treated the same way? Why is there no record of the sale or what was ordered *anywhere*?

 

We had a customer come in and attempt to place a pre-order of multiple items for pick-up the next week and once the screen went away - POOF - as did all of the information.

 

I can't remember if it used to work before with cash, but as long as the payment is recorded, it really needs to show up in the transactions (and obviously the orders as well). 

 

Anyone have any experience with accepting cash transactions for scheduled orders, but not having the typical workflow happen?

 

The first time this happened was January 26th and my staff member took photos:

Ugh, this sounds like a terrible bug. I'm really sorry you're experiencing this issue. 

 

Here in the Community, we don't have the ability to determine if an issue is, in fact, a bug, and if it is, investigate and resolve it. 

 

I would suggest contacting our direct Support team so our engineers can resolve this issue. 

 

Let me know once it has been reported, and if possible, ask for your case number.

I did contact support and when I finally went to record a video, the issue resolved itself?

 

But it's happened twice now that we've noticed (first on the 26th of January and again last week) so it feels like it might happen again?
