Reader unavailable: server error

I keep getting an error message in my square app. It will sometimes takes sales just fine but other times it will say "Reader unavailable: server error" and to get it to function again I have to relaunch the app or disconnect and reconnect the card reader. It takes a few minutes each time and is less than ideal. Any advice?

Hi @jilliansss I'm super sorry for the delayed response here! Can you please clarify which Square reader you are using? We can find the correct troubleshooting article for you. Can you also confirm if the reader was working as expected previously, and when you noticed the issue you described first happened?
