There is a function on the iPad that when someone pays in cash, the app would put button to ask what type of bills the customer is giving. Please see screenshot below.
Example: If the total is 8$, the app would have a buttons with 8$, 10$ and 20$ buttons and based on this, it will show the change to give.
I use a square terminal and I don't see this option. Instead, I need to manually put the amount the customer give. And when trying to do quick transaction, it take some time.
Any ideas how I can enable this?
Thanks!
This is something that I've seen one other Seller flag. Something I can tell you is that if you leave the cash field blank and proceed it will automatically enter the Cash Total for you with no change. However, if you need to give change to your Customer then you will need to enter the exact amount they are giving you.
I will pass your interest over to our Terminal product team for their visibility.
Thanks for your reply! I hope the team will be able to easily add it, since it's already programmed in another type of device! 🙂
I hope so too. A piece of information I can share is that while this is included in our iOS version of the app we have a completely different team working(developing) on the applications offered on Square Terminal and Square Register so while both teams work together to make sure features are made available on both platforms some features won't always make it to every app.
I hope this information is helpful in understanding our development process.
