Order tickets - can we make name a required field?

Currently we have set up square so that when we put the order through the screen comes up asking staff to enter the customers name. 

Most of our staff are just skipping this screen - is there a way to make this screen required so they are forced to enter the name before moving to the next screen?

This is a great question! At this stage there isn't a way to make this mandatory as part of the checkout flow, however, would collecting the customer information work better at the end of the checkout perhaps?

This option will then appear once the staff member has already processed the payment before a receipt is sent. You will see the option to Add Customer on this screen. 

 

If this is something you wish to try, you can change these settings by navigating to More > Settings > Checkout > Customer Management, and then toggle on your preferred option. It's also possible to have both options enabled as a fail-safe.
