One terminal not displaying category

Hi,

 

We just bought 2 new handheld terminals. I've set them up (all settings are identical on both devices). One device will display a product category on the library screen, the other one won't. This is incredibly frustrating. I have no filters turned on. I've tried restarting the device. I've tried signing out, shutting it down, turning it back on and signing back in. They both did an update when I first turned them on and connected them to the internet. The only difference I can see, is the one that isn't displaying the categories, has updated to the most recent update (7.23.0038), and displays buttons in black. The terminal that is working properly is version 7.11.0050 and displays buttons in blue. 

 

Is there a way to fix this??

Hmm, my first instinct is to check for any differences in your item or category settings that might explain why the category is showing on one device but not the other.

To get a clearer picture of your setup, could you help answer a few quick questions?

1. Are both devices logged into the same location on your Square account? (To double-check, tap More (three horizontal lines), then select Switch Location — this will show which location you’re currently logged into.)

2. Are the categories you're trying to display available at all locations?

3. Are the items within the missing category marked as available at both locations?

If you could take a moment to review those settings and make any adjustments needed, that’ll help rule out any location-based visibility issues. Let me know how you go, and we can dig deeper from there if needed!
