My square reader works for about 6 months and then!!!!!????

My square reader works for about 6 months and then it has trouble connecting automatically to my reader via Bluetooth . it works great connects when I open the app and then like clock work it starts to act up . I thought it was the version so I updated to the second generation and now it is doing the same thing . so do I need to buy a new reader every 6 months ? is it connected to an update as this seems to be a weird coincidence .

Our Contactless Reader has a six months warranty.

If it stops working within that time, you can reach out to our Support Team for troubleshooting and, if unsuccessful, they'll be able to exchange the device.
