Background — I am using Square POS, with a Connected Terminal for payment processing, and I have a current Loyalty Program. Overall, everything works as expected. I did run across one issue yesterday that I’d like to suggest new functionality to address.
When a guest pays with cash, obviously the prompt for joining the loyalty program is displayed on my POS. Then we have to either ask the guest for their phone number, OR we have to turn the POS screen around so the guest can enter their phone number.
Would it be possible to add a “Send to Terminal” button on that POS Loyalty Signup screen, and then we could direct the customer to the terminal to finish the process? Obviously, Terminal already has the loyalty signup process since it displays it for card transactions.
