Issue with Inventory on POS update?

There was an update on the POS where you go to update stock for inventory. Now it says stock on hand & available to sell. 

 

We have come across an issue since this update went live yesterday. Many of our items are by weight, so we need to enter with a decimal (ie. 3.2kg ) when we put in inventory. This has never been an issue, but since the update, we can no longer put in a decimal to add or deduct stock--which is a huge issue for our inventory counting. I already called, but all they said is that they would escalate it and call me back, which has not happened.

 

We even try to enter some of our non-weighted items and put in a standard number with no decimal to add stock, and it is giving us an error code now saying there is a connection error when there is not. Internet is working on the ipad & everywhere else---including on the POS...so its not a connection error.

Sorry to hear that this update is not allowing you to add decimals to your inventory. Can you please provide us with one or two item names you are seeing this issue with. Also, are you seeing the same thing on both the Square app and the Square Online Dashboard?

We don't use the decimals/bulk on our online dashboard, only on the POS for in-store bulk items. 

 

Example of two items having the issue with the decimal:

-dehydrated mango

-dark brown sugar

 

We are also seeing an issue on regular stock that doesn't require a decimal since the update. We cannot add stock for those items with regular quantities (ie. adding 1 or 2 items to stock). On any item, we are getting an error when we go to add stock now. It says connection error, but there is no connection error, as the internet is fine. We can take away stock, just not add it for regular items either since this update. We have an image to show the error, but it will not attach here.

@EarthMarket - We appreciate your patience and understanding while we took a closer look at this. It seems like we were having a small bug on our end relate to stock items not getting updated as well as inventory. This issue was resolved last night. I was able to edit the item dehydrated mango with a decimal. Can you please test this on your end and tell us if you continue to see the same issue.

It is still not working for us to add the decimal--- on our ipad POS system. It works on my phone. It is also still not letting us receive the regular stock either.

It's been almost a week and we are still having the same issue-- can't put in inventory (regular quantity or decimal quantity). It has been very frustrating to try to keep track of our stock. No one called me back after calling last week (even though they said they would), and this is crazy that my POS is not doing a basic task. It was working before the update.

I have since attempted re-updating again, closing the app, then deleting the app and re-installing it --- I continue to get all of the same issues. Error when trying to add any type of stock, and also no way to add decimals on adding inventory or deducting inventory. I'm so frustrated. Last time I tried to call they had no idea how to help me and said they would get someone to look into it and call me back, which never happened.

 

Is there someone I could call more directly that would actually be able to help me?
