We recently switched to Square Terminals in one of our locations. In our other locations with Square Point of Sale Systems, our employees are unable to ring a transaction until the cash drawer had been opened for the day.
With the terminals, our employees HAVE been able to ring in before opening the drawer, leading to them accepting cash before the drawer is open (and leading to a drawer that is off). I know the system gives repeated reminders to open the drawer, but is it possible to force the cash drawer to be opened before accepting payments on the new terminals?
