Incorrectly Printing 2 or 3 Receipts

The installation setup is currently iPad connected to a Star Printer McPrint2 via USB and a till draw connected to the printer.

 

This problem has started approximately 1 month ago whereby when processing a cash transaction sales the printer would print two receipts.

 

We don't get a receipts for card payments.

 

Having gone into the printer profile to ensure that receipt printing was set to manually printer. Having confirm the setting was correct the printing would start behaving correctly again, only for an hour or two later to start printing two receipts again.

 

The signal is definitely coming from the software as when it prints two receipts it also send two signals to the till draw. I have also swapped out the printer and the problem still exists.

 

I'm honestly at my wits end with this issue, the software was really stable previously but now seems that erroneous issues are creeping in.

Thank you for providing all of the information on what you're seeing with the printer. 

 

To start, make sure your iPad's Point of Sale app and it's own software is up to date. Another trick I would like you to try would be to delete the printer profile and add it back to your iPad. These little tricks can typically work out the glitch you're experiencing.
