How do you add a discount to an entire cart for certain people?

I have certain carts I would like to apply a discount to.  It could be for friends and family or even strangers I feel like giving a discount to but do not want to have them wait for me to discount each item in their cart.  I tried this method on my terminal but there is no Review Sale > Add discount. that I can see on my terminal.  Please advise...thanks Nancy

Apply a Discount to an Entire Sale

1. Add items or a custom amount to the current sale.

2. From Checkout, tap Review Sale > Add discount. You can also add Discounts directly from the Library tab when selecting other items.

3. Tap Add discount and choose the discount you'd like to apply to the current sale.

The applied discount will appear as a Discounts line item within the current sale.

Note: A manually-added automatic discount will apply to all items in the cart, not just items selected in that discount’s rules.

Additionally, have you already created the discount you're trying to apply?
