Divide sales into two accounts?

When taking an online sale.
can the amount received be paid into multiple accounts.

so. Lets assume:

product is for sale at $50

cost is $20

profit is $30

can i set it up so when a $50 payment comes in can cost go into account 1 and can profit go into account 2

Hey there @Jamos,

Thanks for touching back with your question and welcome to the Seller Community! 👋

This is not currently possible through Square, and I don't believe adding the ability to receive split transfers for individual transactions is something that is currently on our radar. As it stands, the full amount for the transaction, minus the processing fee, will be transferred to your linked bank account for that location based on your current transfer schedule.

You can create multiple locations, for example, a separate location for in-store and online sales, and link different bank accounts to each of those locations. Another option could be to switch to the manual transfer schedule (see more in the link above) and manually transfer your sales profits separately, however, this still doesn't resolve the problem of having multiple bank accounts linked to a single location.

Is there a particular reason you're looking for more options here? Are you looking for more ways to track your cost of goods sold?

I'll keep my eye out for your reply.

Thanks.

im looking to keep better track of whats profit and whats needed to buy more stock.

i also have a partnership setup where the profit account requires multiple signatures to move out.

and the stock account for buying more product does not.

just seemed like an easy solution if there was either a numbered amount or percentage ability to send what comes into to more than one bank account

Got you, thanks for clarifying @Jamos.

If you're interested in looking at this type of data, specifically the cost of goods sold (COGS) and profit margins, you may want to look into the Square for Retail Plus plan

This plan offers advanced inventory and sales reporting in line with what you have described in your above comment. Otherwise, take a look at the free reporting tools available from the online Square Dashboard.

Let me know if anything else comes up!
