Hello, i am trying to figure out how to process Debit transactions using my square terminal. At my company, before we swithced to square, we lead with doing Debit transactions requiring the PIN so we could verify the customer was a qualified user of the card. However, with only being able to process as Credit, we make sure to ask for the customer's ID to verify they're the account holder.
Is there a work around for this?
Also as a follow up question, once the funds are transfered to the corresponding accounts, if the customer requests a dispute, is our account charged that amount for the transaction or does Square assume the responsibility and risk for the scenario?
