Connect EPSON TM-T88V to SquareStand

I am trying to re-connect an Epson TM-T-88V USB printer to my Square Stand. I have followed the instructions to ensure the USB interface is active, and I have made sure it is in "Printer" mode and not "Vendor" mode. This very printer was previously attached to the SquareStand and functioned properly. We disconnected the printer to move it to another spot on the counter, and now I get the message "USB Device is not supported".

I contacted Square support, and they were of no help whatsoever,

I went through the process again of setting up the printer to ensure it still had the correct settings (which it did) but I reset it anyway just to ensure there was no hiccup there.  I still get the error message "USB device not supported"

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might get the square stand to recognize this printer?

Hey there @shawnkimmell 👋

Firstly, welcome to the Seller Community + sorry to hear that you're here because you've run into trouble. We recommend checking to make sure that both your app and your device itself are up-to-date. If everything looks good there then here are some next steps:

  • Test other usb ports in the hub.
  • Restart both iPad and Printer.
  • Uninstall Square Point of Sale and install it again.
  • Reach out to Epson for them to confirm if the printer is working and setup correctly

I hope this information is helpful!
